Overnight Host Form

Thanks for your interest in becoming an overnight host—it is an important part of the Hilltop experience for future Cornellians. This form is required if you're interested in hosting prospective students during the 2017-2018 school year.

Here are our expectations of hosts:
  • You're providing more than just a place to sleep—show off what makes Cornell College special to you. Take the student to meals. Go to campus and athletic events. Attend a meeting for a campus group. Introduce them to your friends and make them feel at home on the Hilltop. Most importantly, have fun together!
  • Make responsible decisions with your prospective student. Follow campus rules and set a good example while hosting.
    • Don't consume alcohol/drugs and/or provide alcohol/drugs for any prospective students during their stay, whether you're on or off campus.
    • Remember prospective students aren't allowed at any on or off campus function where alcohol is served.
  • Stick close to campus. Prospective students cannot ride in a car—it’s a liability to the driver.
  • Do not leave your prospective student alone to fend for themselves. If you need to leave them with another approved Cornell host, make sure that host will also follow these guidelines.
Student conduct that violates these laws and regulations may result in College disciplinary action via Judicial Procedures and Disciplinary Sanctions. Full policies can be found In The Compass.

As a thank you, the Office of Admission offers a $5 gift certificate each time you host. If you have any questions, please contact the visit team at cornell-visits@cornellcollege.edu.
I give Cornell College express permission to text my cell phone regarding hosting overnight students.*
