Admissions

This. Is our block

This is Cornell College. We’re a community gathered from all around the world, nestled inside the tree-lined Mount Vernon campus we call the Hilltop. You’ll notice how friendly and engaged people are here. That’s what you’ll experience as a student, too. Your faculty, your coaches, your support staff, and your peers are all invested in helping you succeed and make the most of your education. And after graduation? The people you met here will remain lifelong friends and mentors.

The Cornell experience is brimming with opportunities and will equip you for a lifetime of success. Our Ingenuity curriculum makes the most of our One Course At A Time approach to course scheduling to prepare you for your life after Cornell—whether that means transitioning to entrepreneurship, graduate studies, service, launching your career, or wherever your life takes you. When you are able to study one course and your professor teaches one course, you can immerse yourself in your studies, discover what excites you, connect with the community, and learn how to get things done. Our college admission office is here to get you started learning about Cornell.

Cornell College is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and our Chaplain and Spiritual Life office offers robust religious and spiritual support for people of all faiths. Students attending Cornell have an opportuity to earn outside scholarships through the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation. Every year, the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation awards more than $2 million in scholarships to Methodist students attending a United Methodist-related school. Applications are typically open January 1 – March 1 for the following academic year. Awards range from $500 to $10,000.
